Spring.

The energy of spring is infectious, flirtatious, and I want to soak it all in.

Today is another tease, seventy-degree weather and warm sunshine, soft breeze. The windows are open in the sweet 1800s farmhouse I get to call home, nestled on a 400 acre farm with vineyards within walking distance. I am truly grateful for everything in my life, and earlier as I was laying out in the yard in a bikini, I was pinching myself that this is how I get to spend my days.

It feels really good to build right now, to release my creative projects into the wild. Today I published a completely new version of my Hawk Intuitive digital marketing and consulting website*. I am proud of myself for finally putting all the pieces back together after re-envisioning how I wanted to share my marketing consulting offerings to the world. It felt even better to let go of the need for perfection and instead surrender to the possibility that maybe it’s good enough just the way it is.**

After a busy winter of thirty days spent on the ski slopes of Timberline Mountain Resort, countless road trips to and from the mountain, and nights of live music at the Purple Fiddle; I am ready to commit back to my personal goals of transforming with the rest of this beautiful earth as I step into this new season feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Don’t get me wrong, winter is by far one of my favorite months. As a December baby, my soul chose to incarnate in the chilly snow covered month. I live for the crisp fresh winter air filling my lungs and the adrenaline rush of controlled falling with gravity that we call skiing and snowboarding. But after a very cold and snowy winter I am so happy to experience the bright green blooming biosphere that is currently unfolding in front of my eyes.

Take a moment and feel with me. Feel the warm sun on your skin. The gentle rustling of leaves being tickled by the wind and the chirp of happy birds singing their songs. The scent of fresh grass. A field of flowers blooming shyly. Hold this with you for a moment, letting yourself get lost in the vision. This is it. The blooming, the blossoming, the reckoning. Spring is happening outside and all around us. How can we cultivate our inner worlds to match?

For me it’s shedding old clothes that feel like a past version of myself, but doing it with the fun and social excitement of bringing them to a local clothing swap.***  It’s bringing a whole bag of clothes to the swap, and returning home with just a few pieces to create a capsule closet. I loved seeing the joy of strangers and now friends sharing their old garments with each other.

It’s making smoothies with lush greens and cooking from scratch. Enjoying the slow moments in between all of the movement. It’s spending a whole day at different vineyards, savoring each sip of heritage and feeling the sun warm my skin.

Spring is our invitation to let go and to let in. To truly allow ourselves the pleasure and pause we’ve been missing. To indulge in our dream life and watch it start to become our new normal. Because every micro-step towards what we are excited to experience slowly develops into the life we choose to live.

Do you get the same butterflies as I do when I think of all the things that get to bloom this season? I can’t wait to see all of the exciting projects be birthed into the world as we move fully into a new season of life. Tell me what you are dreaming of creating this spring, I want to know what’s on your heart and to-do list as we step into this season together.

Read below for more info on fun things I wanted to elaborate on.
